For The Birds

Once upon a time, Wranglers planted this beautiful flower basket for me.

And then, one day, someone else thought it was beautiful, too.

Here's what happened next.

Pretty cute, eh?

All five eggs hatched, and both the momma and daddy have run  flown themselves crazy keeping them fed.

They've also spent countless hours "dive-bombing" the dogs.  It's hilarious to watch, and I've tried and tried to snap a photo, but they are just too darn fast me.

Up next....Spreading Their Wings.

    1. We have always called them "Cat Birds", but I know that's not their proper name. I think they are Western Kingbirds.

  3. How gorgeous. I can't believe they built a nest so close to the ground. And I had no idea birds had as many as five babies. I thought they had just one or two. It will be lovely to watch them develop xx

  4. Aw, how sweet! The dove nested in one of my hanging baskets recently. I've been carefully taking it down to water. Last night, I noticed that one of the little ones had died - "kicked" out of the nest, I guess. So sad....

  5. That is so awesome! I would love to see a little nest like that. My son would spend all day at the window!
