Back to the present state of disaster

Ok.  What else can go wrong??  Tomorrow we pull out at early thirty to move furniture 5 hours north, to my daughter.  That bedroom furniture I spoke about earlier…well, yes we re-sanded it, and sent it over to be painted.  No problem, all we have to do is pick it up when dry. Hmmm.  Not in my world!  The guy called me this morning and said the dresser mirror fell and broke.  Oh boy this is not good, but we’ll deal with it.  Get a another phone call-um the paint is just not gonna stick to this furniture!  Oh geez, now I have to call husband, and tell him.  He’s…

    Wranglers cont’. “The Address Book”

So, I had noticed him, and apparantly, he had notcied me-with the help of some of  his students.  The kids in one of his classes kept after him, “ask her out”, “we’ll call her for ya”.  It seems they were playing matchmaker, with my niece heading the pack!  One day he sat down at his desk and noticed his address book laying open.  Written in red ink was my name and phone number (supplied by  my niece), with little red hearts all around.  I found out about all this much later. (my favorite spot).  Then…

    Rocky Mountain Oysters (calf nuts)

Very, very, very, successful night for my husband and his “kids”. They presented him with a new leather monogramed briefcase, and spoke of the high respect they have for him-what a great group of kids. This speech about my husband made my “eyes drip”! Check out the photos below.

    Relief ??

Ever think you are gonna get a little relief from some of lifes stresses? Well, we can always hope! As we get through one situation, there is always another waiting right behind it! More like lurking right behind it. Get the FFA Hired Hand Sale and Calf Fry (100 pounds of beef and 120 pounds of calf nuts) out of the way and then we will have some relief…WRONG!!! Time to get things ready to haul 5 hours to our daughter, who just rented her first big girl apartment-it’s on the third floor. Did you get that-THIRD FLOOR! ugh. Oh well, it’s an exciting time, I can’t wait to get…

Calm Before The Storm Today there is a bit of a “lull” in our weekly, crazy, schedule. My Ag Teacher hubby is right smack dab in the middle of National FFA Week. Let me tell you folks, this is a big deal. If you don’t know about FFA, I will educate you on what makes my hubby tick (besides me)!! Watch for a later post which I will dedicate to FFA and the huge impact it has on the kids (and adults), who are involved. The week is kicked off by the High School FFA kids driving tractors to school. This plays havoc with secretary and administration parking! The next…
