My Stalker… Caught On Film
There are times when I venture out, and I get the distinct feeling…someone or something is watching me.
I finally captured the culprit on film.
He generally prefers to be heard, and not seen.
This time I win.
Many evenings we can hear his distant “hoot”, and recently, I am so tickled to hear another owl calling back to him. Heck, I don’t know if he is a he or a she.
I just hope our new arrival is the opposite sex, so we can get, you know…baby owls.
Wouldn’t that be a hoot?

Gorgeous! So glad you 'caught' him/her! Great horned owl, I presume. Wonderful!!! We get lots of the barred owls here – I love it when they bark and call to one another.

ADORABLE! See, I try and be all cool and stalk woodland creatures and I only get deers and groundhogs – but an owl? You're just making me look bad.

Megan-LOL! I actually thought of you as I was posting this…in a good way of course 🙂 Thanks for coming by.

Cool pics! Occasionally we hear an owl "hooting" at night – it's a different kind of sound, that's for sure!

Dianna and Rachel-Oh, I love hearing the owl(s)-it's almost spooky out here on the ranch at times. Rachel-keep looking, it took me a while to spot this guy!
