Sunshine, Sand, Beach, And Coconuts

Because we have started out with temperatures below zero everyday for the past hundred days, well, maybe that’s stretchin’ it a little, but it’s been forever.

And because I have these dreams.

And because there is still sand in my purse, and my camera bag…I am gonna break out some pictures that warm my soul.

And make me want to mix up margaritas.

And crank up some mariachi music.

And mix up more margaritas.

If you ever go to Cozumel, Mexico you must go to the windy side of the island.  No big resorts, no crowds.
You will find, amazing water, white sand beaches, a few beach bars and great food.

And if you’re lucky, you will see these red stakes…placed where the sea turtles have come in to lay their eggs.

This view is from a restaurant called Coconuts.

It is perched above the ocean, and the view is magnificent.  I think I may have died and gone to heaven while we were there.

I might add, the Mexican food here was the best I have ever had.  And quite possibly, the hottest.  Oh my, I can’t wait to go back.
When visting the island of Cozumel, you must, I repeat, MUST go to Coconuts.  You will never want to leave.
Trust me.
For now, I will put on my snow boots.
Start up the suv.
Turn on my seat warmer and the defroster.
And blast mariachi music all the way to town.
