I love tips and tricks.  Actually, I love anything that makes my life a little easier!  Living in the country is great, but sometimes we have to get a little creative around the house.

I use vinegar for a LOT of things.  But recently, I found out it is the perfect thing for making the glass in the oven door sparkle!  Grease and oil from cooking builds up into a thick film on the glass.  I have found if you rub the window with a sponge soaked in full strength distilled vinegar and let it sit for 30 minutes, the grease will wipe off easily, with hot soapy water!

Another good little trick….clean your iron with  a used fabric softener sheet.  Simply turn the iron on medium, no steam, and run it over the softener sheet.

Want to freshen up your kitchen?  Next time you run the dishwasher, place half of a lemon, cut side down, in the top rack.  Your whole kitchen will smell lemony fresh!
