Tragedy In Our State….
As most of you know, I live in Colorado. I’m sure you have seen news footage of the devastation going on in our state right now.
We live in the southeast part of the state, so we have not been in any danger of the flooding, however, my daughter, my nephew and friends live in Northern Colorado. Thankfully, they are fine, but our hearts are aching for everyone in harms way.
Here are some stats from yesterday:
From COEmergency:
As of Sunday afternoon, 17,494 homes damaged, 1,502 homes destroyed, 11,700 people evacuated, 1,253 people unaccounted for, 26 shelters open.
Here is a touching video of saving stranded livestock.

Its heart wrenching! I live in the red river valley and we have fought floods for years in the spring when the snow melts quickly and the rivers rise over night…
But I've not seen anything like what Colorado is experiencing! The numbers are staggering and the path of destruction is so wide and will take so long to recover from. Our hearts and prayers are with you all!

That is just pretty scary. So sorry this is happening. Water can be life-giving or devastating. I feel so badly for all those people and animals. My thought and prayers are with you.
