Sweet And Savory Chili Bacon-Wrapped Chicken
I got this recipe from my sister-in-law, but I have seen it on Pinterest a lot, with many different variations. All I can say is…these are AMAZING!
You can serve this chicken as an appetizer, or serve it like I do, as a whole meal. I just make a big tossed salad, and a pan of rice to go along with it.
Recipe:
4 skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
8 strips of bacon, cut in half. (if you love bacon like we do, just use the whole strip…we used the whole package of bacon!!)
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
black pepper
In a small bowl, combine chili powder, garlic powder and black pepper. I use my fingers to sprinkle mixture over each piece of chicken. The recipe says to roll the chicken in chili mixture, but this was a little to heavy for me.
Wrap each piece of chicken with a bacon strip. You can secure with a toothpick, however, I didn’t and it worked just fine. (I did add toothpicks for serving.) Gently roll each piece of bacon wrapped chicken in brown sugar…I went “light” on this, too.
Here’s how they look before baking. I just realized, I got in a big toot, and snapped this picture before the brown sugar! oops
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. You can also set under broiler for 3 minutes to crisp up the bacon.

Yummy! I like chicken, but husby doesn't care for it.

They look great! I'd definitely have to crisp up the bacon for hubby and me…!
