A Very Country Thanksgiving!

Howdy friends….I’m back!  Back from where, you ask??  Nowhere big, just my real life!

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving…we sure did.  Both of our kids were home, which is a major big deal around here!  We loved having them here, along with the rest of my family.  My in-laws didn’t make the trip from Oklahoma this year, because they are flying to NEW YORK CITY!  They have many excursions planned, including being front and center for the Christmas tree lighting in Rockefeller Center…lucky ducks!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch…

Hurry Papa, I’m HUNGRY!

 There’s a story here….

We were all waiting patiently for my brother to arrive with the ham.  Instead he walked in with this. This…FISH.   We tried our best to act excited…but…well…we wanted HAM!  On closer observation, we realized this was a “mounted” fish, and my butt-head brother had pulled a fast one on us.  We all laughed ’till the tears ran, and yes, he then carried in a beautiful ham.

After we stuffed ourselves, it was play time…my niece and grandbaby.

My daughter and nephew.

Our boy and his girlfriend.

And what do we do on Thanksgiving when the weather is unseasonably warm?

Yes.  We trap shoot.

Then….we rest.  Gosh, it was awesome having our kids here.  Missing them terribly already!

Hope your day was as beautiful as ours….
