Rustic Christmas Centerpiece From A Reclaimed Pallet!
You remember that box my husband made from an old pallet? Well, I removed the punkin’s and added more pine cones, berries, bells, and candles.
Sorry about the photo “overkill”….I finally got a new camera, and I’m trying to figure out how to run the darn thing.
The best thing about this centerpiece….total cost $0.00. Zip. Nada. In other words, it didn’t cost me a gosh dang thing. Well, except for the box. The husband says I still owe him, big time.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
What about you….is your tree up?

Love your table box…these are becoming so popular!
You were brave! I have worked with pallets and they are nailed together so well that it's almost impossible to pull them apart!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

How do you avoid catching the pine cones on fire when you light the candles?
My Modern Country
Hi Maria, and thanks for stopping by! I do not light the candles for obvious safety reasons. You could use battery operated candles in place of the real ones.

I want to do the same thing, I have no palettes. What are the demention on your box?

Beautiful!!! I was wondering if your husband has any photos of how he made the box before, during and after? If you could send them i would love to know… my fiance doesn’t make things like that nor have i found something in the stores like your box. Last year i did get power tools for my birthday and i would love to be able to make one of those boxes. 🙂
My Modern Country
Hi Karen, and thank you!! I am out of town, but will write an updated post with photos and directions, soon. You can see the actual size of the box in my reply to Cheryl 🙂

I love this. I’m starting to work on my hubby to get one built for next year. Thanks for Sharing and Merry Christmas!
My Modern Country
Hi Karen! I have provided a link with specific instructions at the beginning of the post. Get that hubby to work, as you can use this box year round by changing up the décor! Thanks for stopping by, and Merry Christmas!
