It’s Time For Farmhouse Fall, Y’all
It’s been awhile, friends! I’ve missed you, and this little blog, so I decided to dust it off and blow out the cobwebs. There is a crazy reason for my absence, but, I will fill you in on that another day. For now, let’s talk about the weather… and, my favorite… farmhouse Fall décor!! It’s time to celebrate Fall, and I have been loving every minute of it! Yesterday, it was a balmy 71 degrees, so we worked outside all day. My husband and I each got on our respective mowers and mowed “till the cows came home”. In other words, it took a long, dang time to get the whole ranch mowed. The weather guy…

Country Roads-2
Happy New Year, friends! Hope you all have had a wonderful holiday. We definitely have enjoyed our time with family and friends, and are looking forward to 2017! As most of you know, the “cat has had my tongue” for most of 2016…unless you are one of my brothers, who works with me everyday. They tell me I talk too much. And they remind me often of the times they used to offer to pay me to be quiet for just ten minutes…needless to say, I ALWAYS failed, and never made a dime. I will try and channel my chattiness here, so the brothers will get a break. haha! I’m…

Rustic Christmas Centerpiece From A Reclaimed Pallet!
You remember that box my husband made from an old pallet? Well, I removed the punkin’s and added more pine cones, berries, bells, and candles. Now, our table is ready for Christmas! Yay! Sorry about the photo “overkill”….I finally got a new camera, and I’m trying to figure out how to run the darn thing. The best thing about this centerpiece….total cost $0.00. Zip. Nada. In other words, it didn’t cost me a gosh dang thing. Well, except for the box. The husband says I still owe him, big time. …

Country Roads
As most of you know, we live in the middle of nowhere. So, for my blog friends in the big cities, here’s a few fun shots from our part of the world! A flock guineas. I honestly have no idea where these guys came from…or where they were going. But, then I noticed one of them had a sign around it’s neck…”Which Way To The Beach”??? I’m goin’ with them. Sorry, I couldn’t get that photo to load 😉 Did you know baby guineas are called keets, and when they are grown, they become watchdogs, fighting off both human and animal trespassers? Your welcome. There’s something pretty…

No Bake Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake
My husband was hungry for something sweet, and he was completely out of his Little Debbie snacks. Houston…we have a problem. His snack cabinet was bare. As in EMPTY. People, this is a catastrophe. Side note: I maybe, sort of, kinda, let that cabinet get empty on purpose. Shhhhhh, don’t tell him. I decided I would rather make his sweets, you know, so I could have control over the ingredients (no offense Little Debbie). Anyhoooo, this recipe has peanut butter in it, so it’s healthy, right? So, I made this totally awesome No Bake Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake! It is super easy and super yummy, however it comes with a…

Passion
Passion: “a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement about something or doing something” Merriam-Webster I’ve been thinking a lot about passion. Not the hanky-panky passion ;), but real down-in-your gut passion. The kind of passion that makes you tick. Trips your trigger. Floats your boat. I could go on forever with these. Winds your watch. The yin to your yang. The salt on your margarita. Okay, I’ll stop. Finding your passion is easy for some folks, not so easy for others. Some are blessed to be in a career where they actually implement their passion everyday. How cool is that? My husband is one of those lucky few. Others follow their…

Ocean, Lake, Or Swimming Pool?
Which would you rather spend time in…the ocean, a lake, or a swimming pool? Those of you who know me, already know my answer. It’s hands down…THE OCEAN! This was just after a quick dip in the beautiful crystal clear blue water in Grand Cayman. The only problem is…living in Colorado, we are much more likely to be in a lake, pool, or even a river. However, honestly, I save most of my water time for the ocean. I snorkel in it. I stand in it. I walk in it. I swim with stingrays in it. And I just sit in it! I have some beachy plans for this summer, so stay tuned! What about…

Five Benefits Of Green Tea
The Green Tea Movement is not a new thing. For quite some time, I have been thinking about jumpin’ on the green tea wagon. Yes, I’m a little slow when it comes to making changes. I didn’t want to give up my morning coffee, because…well, I thought I might turn into a pumpkin, or something. Soooooo, I still have my usual cup of java, then I switch over to green tea. See, I can have my cake, AND eat it, too. Oh wait…. there is no cake. Here are five benefits of drinking green tea: Green tea may improve blood flow. Green tea may lower cholesterol. Green tea may improve…

Detox Bath
Last week my massage therapist informed me….”your neck and shoulders are a mess!” She also quizzed me about my stress level. Ha! Then, she ordered me to start taking a detox bath. I have heard of these, however, I have never taken the “time” to actually try it….always in a hurry… On my way home from work, I decided to give it a try, and WOW! It was so relaxing and soothing to the muscles she had worked on…it was a deep tissue massage, which I love! Hey, no pain no gain. I have had three of the detox baths, and I can’t believe the difference in my neck and…
