I’m sure most of you have heard of Dump Cake, but just in case you haven’t….let me share this crazy, easy, yummy recipe. I know it’s in millions of cookbooks, and on a gazillion blogs, but I got my recipe from my mom. This is cake is perfect for a potluck, which is exactly why I made this recently. I got this recipe from my sister-in-law, but I have seen it on Pinterest a lot, with many different variations. All I can say is…these are AMAZING! You can serve this chicken as an appetizer, or serve it like I do, as a whole meal. I just make a big tossed salad, and a pan of rice to go along with it. Years ago, when I lived in the city, my favorite restaurant served the BEST artichoke dip I have ever eaten. As time went by, I met a guy…who knew a guy…who knew the chef. Anyhoo, I was able to snag the original recipe. Everyone loves it and it’s perfect for any celebration. Recipe: 1- 14 oz. can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped 4 Tablespoons Hormel Bacon Bits, or 4 slices crisp bacon crumbled. 2 Tablespoons chopped green onions 1 Tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 cup mayo 1/2 cup sour cream 1 cup Parmesan cheese Dash Worcestershire Sauce Microwave until bubbly, serve in a bread bowl. Festive Cashew Pea Salad!
This salad is super easy, and super delicious. AND… it has bacon in it. Recipe: 1 pkg. frozen peas 1 c. chopped celery 1 c. cashews 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. Hormel Real Bacon Bits 3’4 c. sour cream 3/4 c. mayonnaise Put peas uncooked and left frozen in a large bowl. Add celery, cashews, onion and bacon bits. Mix sour cream and mayonnaise together and toss with salad. Easy peasy!
